Reflections on Language

I have always been fascinated by language. It is not just a way to communicate, but it is a way in which we make sense of the world. Words shape my experience. When available words could not express my feelings, old unused words or new ones filled the gap.

Terms such as griefsong-the bitter-sweet echo of loss-or dreamslip-that magical space wherein dreams and reality blur-serve to help me honor the moments that would otherwise not have a name.

When at Inksite-to explore bibliotherapy, expressive writing, dreamwork-the naming of an experience brings clarity, allows healing. Naming puts form to something so we may understand it-and creates space for growth.

This practice has really changed the way I view both the world and myself. It leads me to wonder: What is missing in your vocabulary? What would you coin to name what no one else has ever experienced?

As language grows with us, the more we create of our words, the better it equips us in making expressions and understanding the human condition. If this resonates with you, let me know: What is one word you have always needed but never had? Let us create it together.

Contribute with Gratitude

In the spirit of Zen, I embrace the practice of mindful generosity. Rather than setting fixed fees, I offer workshops on a "Dana" (offering) basis, inviting participants to contribute what feels meaningful and aligned with their capacity.

This approach honors the balance between giving and receiving, creating a space where everyone can participate with intention and gratitude.
